Ranchi College is one of the oldest constituent units of Ranchi University. Beginning in 1926 as Intermediate College, Ranchi College was upgraded to graduate level in 1946 and post-graduate level in 1951. Thereafter, it is continuing to grow and expand. Today it teaches Intermediate and BA/BSc Honours and General Courses in 22 subjects, Postgraduate in 10 subjects, and has vocational and self-financed courses in Computer Application, Information Technology, Bachelor of Education, and Master of Law.

The AICP of North America has as guides the Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad and the path of the Islamic scholars like Imam Ash-Shafi^iyy, Imam Malik, Imam Ahmad and Imam Abu-Hanifah. Unlike the followers of Sayyid Qutub who deviated from the right path by following an erroneous idea that sprung fifty years ago, and unlike the followers of Muhammad ibn ^adbil-Wahhab who deviated from the right path by following an erroneous idea that sprung two hundred years ago, unlike them we are following the right path of the prophet, his companions and their followers.
