HSG is the first international membership organization fully dedicated to promoting health systems research and knowledge translation.

<p><i>Emerging Themes in Epidemiology</i> aims to promote debate and discussion on practical and theoretical aspects of epidemiology. We welcome primary research and discursive articles. We particularly encourage submissions in the following areas: new epidemiological concepts and methods, including new statistical methods, novel ways of presenting and providing insights into existing epidemiological concepts and methods, including in a teaching environment, use of epidemiological research methods in non-medical settings, causal inference in epidemiology and applications of new technologies in field studies.</p><p/>

<p>Human Resources for Health publishes on all aspects concerning the information, planning, production, management and governance of human resources for health. The journal encourages debate on health sector reforms and their link with human resources issues. It disseminates research on health workforce policy, the health labour market, health workforce practice, development of knowledge tools and implementation mechanisms nationally and internationally; as well as specific features of the health workforce, such as the impact of management of health workers' performance and its link with health outcomes.</p>

<p><i>Health Research Policy and Systems</i> covers all aspects of the organisation and use of health research. These include agenda setting, building health research capacity, and how research as a whole benefits decision makers, practitioners in health and related fields, and society at large.</p><p>Topics addressed include: the role of evidence-based health policy and health research systems in ensuring the efficient use and application of knowledge to improve health and health equity; facilitation of communication between people involved in different areas of research, managers and administrators in charge of research entities, policy makers, innovators, and those charged with funding research. The effects of national and international research systems on research capacity in low-middle income countries is a key issue.</p>

<p><i>Implementation Science</i> publishes research relevant to the scientific study of methods to promote the uptake of research findings into routine healthcare in clinical, organisational or policy contexts.</p>

<p><i>International Journal of Health Geographics</i> is fully dedicated to publishing novel, high quality and internationally significant manuscripts on all aspects of geospatial information systems and science applications in health and healthcare. The journal fills a serious gap in existing journals by providing a credible central venue for researchers and practitioners to publish their health geographics research.</p>
