Medzinárodný džezový festival BJD je jedným z najväčších podujatí svojho druhu v strednej Európe. Pravidelne sa ho zúčastňujú najznámejšie džezové hviezdy. BJD sa konajú každoročne od roku 1975 v spoločenskej sále PKO vždy v druhej polovici októbra. Milovník džezu sa tu mohol stretnúť so všetkými prúdmi akými je obohacovaný džez, či už je to free jazz, jazz rock, jazz funk, fusion a mnohé ďalšie smery prezentované veľkými bigbandmi, komornými zostavami i sólistami.
