The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals The DSPCA is a registered charity and is a non government agency. We were established in 1840 to prevent cruelty to animals and is now Ireland's largest animal welfare organisation. We fight animal cruelty and abuse in all of its forms. We also provide direct care for thousands of animals at our shelter in Rathfarnham for both domestic pets and wildlife and also through our mobile veterinary clinics.
