Jody was given the nickname Kid when he started commercial lobster fishing with his older brother at the age of 18. Capt. Kid traces his family ancestry back to the Eleutheran Adventures who shipwrecked at Preachers cave and settled the Bahamas in 1646. We grew up on our local waters and reefs, and take pride in passing on our passion to our community. His 21 year old Son Capt. Kayston Pinder has lived on the island all his life and spent his teenage years on the local waters. He would spend his summers hunting turtle and developed a skill at catching them that is incredible. Kayston is great with people of all ages and whether you are a child, teenager or adult your day spent with him will be a very enjoyable and memorable one. Both Capt.Kid and Capt. Kayston are fully STCW-95 certified and locally licensed captains.
