Tarkarli is the premiere beach destination of MTDC. Tarkarli is a 8 km long stretch of beach. To the south of Tarkarli beach is Devcaug and in the north of Tarkarli the Sindhudurg fort looms in the horizon. Tarkarli beach infact is wedged between the karli backwaters and the Arabian sea and is a picturesque location. Tarkarli is one of the premiere destinations of MTDC and to promote tourism in Tarkarli MTDC has started snorkeling in Tarkarli and recently SCUBA diving also in Tarkarli.
