Grace Exhibition Space, since 2006, is devoted exclusively to Performance Art. We offer an opportunity to experience visceral and challenging performance works by the current generation of international performance artists, whether emerging, mid career or established.

Kate MccGwire's practice probes the beauty inherent in duality, exploring the play of opposites - at an aesthetic, intellectual and visceral level - that characterises the way we conceive the world. She does this by appealing to our essential duality as human beings, to our senses and our reason, and by drawing on materials capable of embodying a dichotomous way of seeing, feeling and thinking. The finished work has a consistent 'otherness' to it that places it beyond our experience of the world, poised on a threshold between the parameters that define everyday reality.

Alyssa Freitas is multimedia artist who primarily works in video installations. The construction of spaces is based on the influx of digital culture into contemporary life. Her work explores our visceral engagement with technology with a halfhearted wit and quirky outlook at hybridized form.

There is a natural bohemian elegance to my jewelry, influenced by a casual California lifestyle. My work finds its inspiration in nature, all things celestial, ancient relics, the energetic beauty of gemstones, and always the sculptural shapes in Modern and Abstract art. In creating my jewelry I can begin a conversation. Each piece becomes a token of love. It tells a story, creates a memory and makes a visceral connection with others.
