The Fashion Institute of the Philippines has trained suppliers, staff and prime movers of leading fashion chains (Bayo, Freeway, Penshoppe, Genevieve Gozum Boutiques, YRYS, Celine Marketing Group, Bench, Natasha, SM, Landmark, Robinson’s, The Ramp Crossings and other independent brands in department stores) and has produced leading names in the Philippine fashion industry: Star Magic designer Francis Libiran, Jerome Ang, Ronaldo Arnaldo, John Herrera, Paul Herrera, Julius Tarog, Dennis Martin, Zxander Tan, Ferdie Abuel, Happy Andrada, Popo Go, Pia Perey (designed Angelina Jolie’s Salt movie premier gown), Hollywood designer Oliver Tolentino… to mention a few. If not doing their own business, our graduates are occupying key design and marketing positions in leading boutiques and chains, clothing manufacturers and department stores and are very much in demand in fashion houses and manufacturers in China, Dubai and the Middle East.
