I'm a Ph.D. research fellow at Electrical and Computer Engineering Deparment, Carnegie Mellon University. I'm currently working in a research group specializing in pattern recognition, machine learning, computer vision, and image processing, especially as applied to the field of biometrics, in Carnegie Mellon CyLab Biometrics Center under the supervision of Professor Marios Savvides. Prior to that, I had my Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering in 2009 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. I'm a Graduate Student Member of the IEEE and also a Member of the IEEE Computer Society and the IEEE Signal Processing Society. My research interests are biometrics, pattern recognition, machine learning, computer vision, and image processing.

We study how processing using electromagnetic (EM) fields can disrupt the traditional “equilibrium” structure and consequently, the behavior or properties of materials.
