Located 35 miles south of San Francisco and 14 miles north of San Jose, Palo Alto is a community of approximately 63,000 residents. Part of the San Francisco Metropolitan Bay Area and the Silicon Valley, the City‘s boundaries extend from San Francisco Bay on the east to the Skyline Ridge of the coastal mountains on the west. The City encompasses an area of approximately 26 square miles, one-third of which is open space.

The City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department's mission is to meet our customer's needs by providing high-quality service in water supply, water reclamation and geothermal heating in the most professional and cost-effective manner possible. We produce all of our own water using 60 wells located in our 45-square miles of water service area and deliver it to more than 40,000 service connections through 551 miles of water mains. The water we deliver meets or exceeds all government health and safety standards. We reclaim over 30 million gallons of water each day using innovative and cost-effective methods to make the reclaimed water safe for the environment and for re-use.

The mission of the San Bernardino Public Library is to provide free access to the world of ideas, information and creative experience for all citizens of San Bernardino. The Library is a cultural center where the people of San Bernardino come together to learn and participate in public discourse. It aids the community in the creation of informed and educated citizenry and provides opportunities for free lifelong learning and economic improvement. The San Bernardino Public Library is governed by an autonomous administrative Library Board of Trustees as provided by Article XII of the Charter of the City of San Bernardino. Library services are provided at four sites: Norman F. Feldheym Central Library, Villasenor Library, Inghram Library, and Rowe Library.
