Eric D. Green was appointed by United States District Court Judge George Caram Steeh in the Eastern District of Michigan to serve as the Special Master to administer the $1 billion airbag restitution fund that Takata Corporation will pay in connection with a criminal case concerning personal injuries caused by the malfunction of certain Takata airbags. Professor Green's appointment was agreed to as part of a plea agreement between Takata and the United States of America.
