COLOMBIA INTELIGENTE que responde a la necesidad de coordinar movimientos que a nivel mundial analizan, promueven y desarrollan soluciones novedosas en el sector eléctrico que atienden a retos tales como el calentamiento global utilizando por ejemplo mecanismos de energías renovables y eficiencia energética apoyados en tecnologías de comunicaciones para minimizar el impacto en el medio ambiente y usando medios que optimicen el uso de la energía. En esta forma la iniciativa reconoce que el sector eléctrico debe articularse en una forma importante con otros sectores, por ejemplo transporte para lograr resultados positivos de mayor impacto para el país.

The 8th IEEE International Conference on Smart Grid Communications (SmartGridComm 2017) will provide a forum to discuss all aspects that are relevant to smart grid communication and information technologies. It will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government institutions, with backgrounds in communications, energy, control, signal processing and information systems to exchange ideas, explore enabling technologies and share experiences.
