Streetlight was founded in 2004 by Erlend Johannesen, a young Norwegian with a belief that it is possible to make a difference. Traveling in the Philippines, he set out to educate himself on the area of humanitarian work. Traveling from orphanage to orphanage, talking to founders and managers of organizations and children homes, a plan and a strategy was soon formed.
