Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche is one of the three main Lineage Holder of Drukpa Kagyu. This 9th and present incarnation was recognized at the age of three by H.H. 16th Gyalwang Karmapa. He is the spiritual director of Dechen Choekhor Monastery, the mother monastery of great importance in Drukpa Kagyu Lineage. The original monastery in Tibet was established by 3rd Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche approximately 400 years ago. Since then it has been served as the main seat of the Drukpa Choegon Rinpoches and Drukpa Yongzin Rinpoches.
