As you view my images you’ll find out a lot about me. For instance, I see natural landscapes and the creatures that call them home as being at the same time grand works of art and also places for renewal, connection and education. It’s probably also apparent that I love to travel. The world is a big, beautiful and fascinating place, and my travel images aim to show it in all its glory. Photographing people and their cultures is one big reason I travel, and I hope my images tell you something about what makes all of us unique, along with all that we share. In short, despite all my photographs of nature and landscape, I am also a photographer of people, especially in those candid moments: with family or friends, with their pets, or simply alone. I’m very serious about photography as art, as a way to communicate what is more difficult (even impossible) to say with words. I don't tend to shoot popular subjects or incorporate trendy looks into my images. My influences from without are as numerous and varied as the whole world is. Influences from within include my past careers as an earth scientist and also a teacher. Both continue to inform my photography. For example my landscape images often highlight aspects of the region’s geologic history. My strong affinity for nature and animals of all kinds is a major influence as well. Global travel has given me a keen awareness of human impacts on the environment. We are forever connected after all - to the earth which gives us everything, and to each other. We all have had one at some point of time. A muscle spasm is a common occurrence, when you extend the body under conditions of dehydration and heat, beyond a stage. When undernourished and overworked, running low on energy and fluids, muscles get spasms (short painful contractions). Through this Buzzle article, I provide an overview of the symptoms, causes and treatment strategies to you to heal muscle spasms. Muscle Function Muscles, with their contractile behavior, are primarily accountable for body motions. In ordinary cases, these voluntary muscles start contracting, when the brain sends electrical signals. These motor neurons stimulate the activation of calcium ions, within the cells of a muscle and act as a catalyst. There are two types of proteins within the muscle cells- Myosin and Actin. The release of calcium ions leads to interaction with proteins, which leads to sliding past one another of proteins of these ions. Recapture of ions leads to unlinking again. Muscle Spasm Occasionally, people have an uneasy feeling of tightness in muscles of legs, neck, arms or their back. Sportspersons, athletes or the folks associated with strenuous tasks get cramps in their own muscles. Both these forms are referred to as muscle spasms. Normally it's characterized by an abrupt burst of unpleasant, painful sense. Every muscle in the body is susceptible to muscle spasm, although it's more common in calf muscles or muscles of the back or neck. Muscle will not loosen after sudden stiffening when the body witness's muscle spasm. When it occurs in legs, it's also known as 'Charley Horse'. Normally, these muscle cramps up the crop from the simple fatigue of muscles, after surprising heavy exercise when the muscle is just not habituated to weights that are additional. It can also occur during pregnancy. Yet, there are few instances when disorders or electrolyte imbalances in neuromuscular functions cause spasms. Also, it could be a complication of certain medicines. Spasms can be catalyzed by the sudden moves, especially a sudden, tweaking move. Stretching that is slow and slow will be a successful option in such scenarios. In conditions that are abnormal, unusual contraction action of muscle cells at any period can result in these spasms. There is specific mechanism between the brain and the spinal cord and motor neurons of the central nervous system to regulate contraction activity. Interruption of the system results in a spasm. Being over sensitive, motor neurons may go bizarre in their functioning. Excitement takes place as muscle sheath itself is quite sensitive, without appropriate contraction. Discharged Calcium ions may not get recaptured in time, resulting in protracted contraction of muscles. Possible reasons behind the interruption of brain mechanism include too stress on particular muscles, injured nerve pathways, stroke, trauma, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury. Occasionally, nerve damage can result in a long-term shortening of the muscle, into contracture.

Hi Everyone. Barry here. Since the days of going on those long tours are coming to a close, I thought this might be a good time to remind you all about ManilowTV. I think many of you know that ever since I started performing I have hit the “record” button; be it audio or video. Recordings of every show I’ve ever done are in a big vault. (Right next to my baby shoes and the Copacabana jacket!). All of these recordings were meant only for reference and archival purposes. I would look at the shows each night after a concert, make notes, and give them to the staff so that we could tighten the show or change things. But watching them brings back so many great memories! I know you will enjoy seeing them. That’s what ManilowTV is all about. Each month for the past seven years, Marc and I have looked through hundreds of video tapes and DVD’s and picked a performance that we think you would enjoy and have shown it on ManilowTV. So far, there are 90 different shows. Even though the shows were recorded on one camera and the video and audio is not professional network quality, I think they are very exciting. I think you will too. We post a new concert every month. These shows bring back such great memories. Big laughs, some tears and such talent! Lady Flash! Big bands, small bands, choirs! England! Kenardo Forbes opened the scoring in the 32nd minute for the Rhinos. Raul Gonzalez would score both his first goal for Richmond and his first professional goal to give the Kickers a point on the road. The home side would try to get on the attack early in the first half calling Matt Turner into action in the 4th minute. Stefan Defregger collected the ball out wide and found an opening to slot the ball through to Mike Garzi making the run into the box. Garzi would take a shot quickly, without much power on it, as Turner would make the save. Richmond would try to put together an attack in the 17th minute. After winning the ball in the midfield, Alex Lee feeds the ball up the wing and finds Alhaji Kamara making the run towards the corner. Kamara sent his cross in looking for Luiz Fernando making the near post run as Tomas Gomez needed to come out to meet the cross and prevent any chance from Fernando. The Rhinos nearly took a lead just two minutes later. Gomez plays the ball down field and finds Bradley Kamden Fewo in the corner. Kamden Fewo would get to the end line and play the ball across goal to Garzi on the far side. He could not get a shot off and laid it off to Forbes at the top of the box for a shot on goal that Turner is able to block. The rebound falls to Defregger and he slots it in, but the offside flag goes up negating the goal. Kenardo Forbes broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute for the Rhinos. Darius Madison controlled the ball at the top of the box, unable to turn because of multiple Kickers defenders. Forbes makes a run towards the box and Shanosky is nearly able to prevent it, but Forbes gets enough on the ball to play it off a sliding Turner and then easily put away the rebound towards the far side of goal. Just before the halftime break, Raul Gonzalez would put away a free kick to draw the Kickers level in the 45th minute. Samuel Asante collected the ball in the midfield and started to make a run towards the Rochester box, as Ryan Felix stuck his leg out to try and make a stop and ended up drawing a foul on Asante. Raul Gonzalez stepped up to take the free kick. A previous free kick by Gonzalez was lofted in looking for a near post run. This time Gonzalez put power on his free kick and snuck it in the near post past Gomez for his first professional goal. Two minutes into the second half, Rochester looked to get back into the lead through Mike Garzi. Jordan Dover played the ball out wide to Brandon Beresford. Beresford played his cross in finding Garzi at the top of the box. Garzi took a touch and then tried a shot on the volley and it went high of Turner’s goal causing no threat. Gonzalez had another chance on goal from a free kick in the 60th minute. This time it was Gonzalez that was fouled by Forbes in nearly the same spot as the first half goal. Gonzalez stepped up looking to create the same magic as his shot ended in the hands of Gomez in goal. The Rhinos tried to create another dangerous opportunity in the 63rd minute. Kenardo Forbes once again was in on the attack and played the ball to Kamden Fewo looking to get the ball back. Kamden Fewo instead turned his shot on target as Turner was there with the save. Rochester’s most dangerous opportunity of the second half came in the 73rd minute. Only on the field for five minutes, Antonio Correia was able to put a shot on frame after getting a pass from Sofiane Tergou out wide. Turner would block the initial shot as the ball fell to Madison. He would have a chance on goal that Troyer was able to get in front of to clear away. The Kickers continue their three-match road trip as they head to Toronto FC II Wednesday with an early kickoff at 12PM. The Inn St. Gemme Beauvais is the oldest continuously operated Bed and Breakfast in Missouri. The Inn has earned a Three Star Mobil rating. It has been a recipient of the Golden Star Award from Inn Style, Inc. and has been featured in Country Inns and Midwest Living magazines. The history of the Inn dates back to the 1700s when the daughter of Vital St. Gemme Beauvais farmed the property. The building was constructed in 1848 as a private residence for Felix Rozier and his growing family. The Roziers were prominent and successful merchants in Ste. Genevieve and their family legacy is still observable today. The Inn maintains the splendor of the past with period decor while adding contemporary luxuries in each room. Upon approaching the wide veranda leading to the front porch, one cannot help but have their eyes drawn toward the six tall pillars that grace the front of this three-story brick colonial mansion. After entering the front door your senses are inundated.

In the past few years my business has taken off and I am having a blast capturing beautiful smiles, pouts, cries, dance moves, "aha" moments and such. You can purchase fully edited professional prints through my website or for $75.00 you can purchase a flashdrive of 20 beautiful shots to do with as you please. Anything over the 20 shots will be $2.00 a picture. However, I can not guarantee quality prints unless ordered through my website. I also have a small travel fee of $25.00 for all shoots that I have to travel north of the river(aka Lady Bird Lake) or outside of the Austin city limits. Why do I not charge a typical photographer's fee? Through some difficult situations in my life and my sister having a stroke, I have come to realize the importance that everyone should have beautiful pictures of their family. Pictures are what memories are made of and everyone (no matter what your financial circumstance) should have them and I want to be that person to bring them to you. I look forward to capturing the beauty of who God created you to be and in return I give Him glory for every session and the beauty that comes from it. As cool as they are, drones are a dime a dozen these days. If you're a drone manufacturer and you want your gizmos to stand out, they better have something special: compactness, a superb camera, affordability or, y'know, rockets. Drones from the Chinese company DJI seem to have all of the above, except the rockets, which is why they've been dominating the market for some time now. Their Mavic Pro is somewhat of a standard-setter for consumer drones, the Phantom 4 Pro challenges other companies to up their specifications game, and the Spark satisfies the needs of mobile users who want a portable drone. So, what is it that the DJI Mavic Air hopes to accomplish that the company hasn't already done? Look past the small size and you'll see impressive innards We've got plenty of praise for DJI drones here, but they're not all perfect. The Phantom Pro brings power, but at a prohibitive cost for some – this refers to both the price, which can go up to $1800, and the massive size. In contrast, the Spark's tradeoff in size and relative cheapness leaves some users wanting more range, flight time and a better camera. This left the Mavic Pro as the company's flagship model for all-purpose use. The Mavic Air clearly wants to overtake this spot, and it has everything needed to do so. The 6.2 x 2.7 x 2.7 inch size and 0.95 lb weight place it right between the Spark and the Mavic Pro. While the latter was already seen as a reasonably-sized drone, the Mavic Air is going to give users who need portability exactly that. Although the Spark gave up a lot of its recording power to shrink (with only a 2.1 MP, 30-FPS 1080p camera), the DJI Mavic Air makes no such sacrifices. Its ability to capture at 8.8 megapixels and 4K resolution places it right beside the Mavic Pro and the Phantom 4 Pro, and the camera's 1080p frame rate actually beats the Mavic Pro's by a significant margin (120 to 96 FPS). This brings a somewhat awkward question: where does the newest model leave the Mavic Pro? Yes, it has a range of 7000 meters compared to the Mavic Air's 4000, and much has been said about this. But how far are hobbyists really flying these drones? The truth is that most users won't find the extra range noteworthy, which doesn't make it much of a competition considering the Mavic Air's superior specs and $200 lower price. How does the DJI Mavic Air fare against its rivals? As noted, the Mavic Air has already beaten one of its major competitors, the Mavic Pro. This leaves the Parrot Bebop 2 and the Xiro Xplorer V as the drone's main competition outside the company. Bebop 2 and its kits remain a popular alternative to DJI and have no doubt taken their market share. One of the main perks is the price, which starts at $550 for the Bebop 2 versus $800 for the Mavic Air. However, many Parrot users find themselves needing to upgrade their drone with the FPV pack, which brings the cost to the Mavic Air's range. Once there, it's really not much of a contest – the Bebop 2's 1080p recording limitation makes the Mavic Air worth the extra money in almost every scenario, and its inability to avoid obstacles doesn't help its case. The Xiro Xplorer V's strongest point is its design. The thing looks straight out of a black budget project whereas most drones look clunky and tame by comparison. Although its camera options are similar to the Parrot Bebop 2 and therefore significantly lesser than the Mavic Air's, its looks and the $300 entry price tag will continue to make this an extremely popular acquisition for novice drone enthusiasts, albeit not with more serious users. The reviewers are in agreement: this is the drone to look out for Early reviews of the drone, including showcases of its tremendous camera, are pretty much what you would expect. TrustedReviews thinks this drone has what it takes to topple last year's best-buy, the DJI Mavic Pro, while Techradar calls it "the pocketable 4K drone you want in 2018". We'll go ahead and disagree with TrustedReviews a bit. To us, the Mavic Air has already toppled the Mavic Pro and then some – with a significant upgrade in every stat besides range, which it still has plenty of, the Mavic Air has everything it takes to leave DJI's current top pick in the previous year. It seems likely that this drone is going to widen the already-considerable gap between DJI and other manufacturers. The price remains less-than-ideal for some who are just looking to fly a drone around, but anyone wanting features will be ready to shell out $800 and not look back for a while. The only thing we can imagine raining down on the Mavic Air's parade would be debilitating faults with the drone, the likes of which we aren't used to from DJI, or an over-reliance on upgrades that would bring its price closer to $1000. That's the worst-case scenario, and we aren't willing to bet on it. If you still aren't as hyped for the Mavic Air as we are, check out these aerial shots that show just what a 4K camera can do compared to a 1080p one, which seemed awesome just a few years back.
