Alba Vasconcelos is one of those rare artrists who since childhood has been a natural at drawing, embroidering, sculpting, painting and shooting photographs. Born in the small town of Jequié in Bahia state (Brazil), she has worked in publicity and photojournalism, and studied art in New York, San Francisco, Kentfield, and Oakland in California where she lived for 12 years.
