Domestic violence can be defined as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner.

The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) is a membership and advocacy organization representing the 56 U.S. state and territorial domestic violence coalitions. NNEDV is the voice of these coalitions, their more than 2,000 local domestic violence member programs, and the millions of domestic violence survivors who turn to them for services. In 2000 and 2005, NNEDV members all across the country played a crucial role in the reauthorization of VAWA. Through its extensive state and grassroots network, NNEDV continues to mobilize a powerful constituency to make their voices heard in U.S. Congress.

The Domestic Violence Resource Center of Washington County, OR is a non-profit agency serving survivors of intimate partner, family, and domestic violence. DVRC offers confidential shelter, protective order advocacy, counseling, 24 hour crisis line response, referrals, and community education. All DVRC services are free of charge.

EndAbuse4Good is a non profit dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic abuse, aka domestic violence and intimate partner violence. We focus on education for the prevention of abuse, as well as hands on care for survivors at local domestic violence shelters. Our partners include Safe Horizon, Barneys and Metamorphosis New York.
