Each year members of the fablab network (more than 1,000 worldwide Fab Labs) gather to share, discuss, collaborate and create communities around the different local and global interests regarding digital manufacturing, innovation and technology. This international gathering is hosted each year in a different city (Barcelona in 2014, Boston in 2015, Shenzhen in 2016 and Santiago de Chile in 2017) and for the first time in 2018 it will happen in France, first entire country instead of a single city to host the event. Fab14 central theme will be “Fabricating Resiliency” and it’s designed and organised by the French community (one of the most important community in the network with its 152 of Fab Labs) as a distributed event with an original an innovative format named FAB PLUS with the following agenda : Fab City Summit in Paris : Thursday 12th and Friday 13th of July 2018, organised by the association Fab City Grand Paris. Fab Distributed organised by the French Fablab Network : during the weekend of 14th and 15th, the international community on its way to Toulouse for the main conference will be able to visit one of the French Fab Labs in 11 different cities. Fab Conference and Symposium in Toulouse : from Monday 16th to Friday 20th, this is the traditional part of the event and it is organised by Artilect, first fablab in France and still one of the most influential in the country. Fab Festival in Toulouse : Saturday 21th and Sunday 22th, public opening.
