Paul Randolph is a leading British mediator, trainer and writer, whose work uses a subtle focus on the psychology of conflict and conflict management. Paul Randolph has mediated successfully in disputes with values up to £130 million and with as many as 22 parties. He mediates in a wide variety of legal areas, including commercial, family, property, employment and workplace, personal injury and professional negligence. He helps those in a dispute reach both a good practical result and an outcome that achieves appropriate emotional 'closure'. This approach has won much acclaim. It draws on his collaboration with the late Dr Freddie Strasser, the eminent psychotherapist, with whom he designed the Mediation Skills Course at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling in Regent's University London. Since 1999 Paul has been Course Leader and accredited over 1000 mediators in the UK, Europe and Asia. Paul's book Mediation - A Psychological Insight into Conflict Resolution (2004) wasco-written with Dr Strasser. Paul Randolph is an accredited mediator (CEDR, June 1999 and SPC, May 2000), and barrister. He practises from Field Court Chambers in Gray's Inn, London. He is a member of the UK Bar Council ADR Committee and a Board member of the UK Civil Mediation Council. He is also a member of the Slynn Foundation, the European Mediation Network Initiative, the International Mediation Institute, and the International Bar Association (IBA). He is an External Examiner for Law and the LLM at Kingston University. As a Speaker, Paul's expertise and emphasis on the psychological aspects of mediation and conflict resolution make him popular with international audiences. He has given presentations and master-class sessions on managing and resolving conflict and mediation to professional and official organisations in many European countries as well as in China, India, South Africa, America, Russia, Turkey and Jordan.
