In the past few years my business has taken off and I am having a blast capturing beautiful smiles, pouts, cries, dance moves, "aha" moments and such. I take pictures for the pure joy of giving back and I have been extremely blessed in the process. My pictures are very organic in nature and I love taking time to capture YOU and YOUR FAMILY. My hopes is that your session will be relaxed and memories will be forever captured. I do not have a set sitting fee, I let that be led by you and what you feel you can afford. My hope is that ALL can have beautiful memories captured through my photography. You can purchase fully edited professional prints through my website or for $75.00 you can purchase a flashdrive of 20 beautiful shots to do with as you please. Anything over the 20 shots will be $2.00 a picture. However, I can not guarantee quality prints unless ordered through my website. I also have a small travel fee of $25.00 for all shoots that I have to travel north of the river(aka Lady Bird Lake) or outside of the Austin city limits. Through some difficult situations in my life and my sister having a stroke, I have come to realize the importance that everyone should have beautiful pictures of their family. Bob Evans Bio Bob comes from a background of, perhaps one of the most creative professions, engineering. Some may think that this is not such an obvious background for an artist, however, all good engineers know that creating something from nothing gives you tremendous creative rush and oft times you find that the best engineers are frequently very accomplished musicians, artists and in my case, photographers.. Landscape Photography of Bob Evans A late comer to art photography Bob spent his early career working in engineering designing lifesciences equipment and then latterly moving into general management. During this time he and his family have lived in England, Florida, New York and latterly in Massachusetts. Bob travels frequently on business and always takes a camera with him as you never know what that perfect image will appear. During this time he had a very active interest in photography, probably coming from his father who is also an accomplished photographer. Over the years as he honed his expertise he found that what could best be loosely described as ‘landscape’ was his metier. Particularly in the abstraction from reality of key elements helped by almost exclusive use of black and white. Influences Early influences were Fay Godwin, a very accomplished english landscape photographer, sadly no longer with us. Her work evokes a deep empathy with the land and her keen eye and technical skill inspired him greatly. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fay_Godwin). Ansel Adams whose images of Yosemite and the American West together with the deep technical knowledge and skill in producing the finished print and treating the entire process as a pre-visualised expression was particularly welcome. Bill Brandt and Weegee, where the technical element was secondary to the image and the emotions evoked by them. Similarly with Cartier Bresson and his ‘decisive moment’, although Bob has never particularly focused on people photographs, on the occasions he has you can most defiantly see there influences, as shown in the 'people' gallery. Photo’s by Bob Evans Building on that creative engineering background Bob continued to hone his his technical skill and artistic eye. An early Nikon fan, Bob’s first ‘proper’ camera was an Nikon FM, an excellent manual workhorse that was used extensively. Over the years Bob has used many other cameras. For those ‘decisive moment’ shots he always carried a Minox 35GT, usually loaded with Ilford HP5. For his main camera he rapidly moved beyond 35mm and whilst he was using film his preferred outfit was a Bronica ETRS and then moved to a Mamiya RB67 and a home made 5x4. All of his darkroom work was done at home with a full setup for black and white and colour and many happy hours spent in the darkroom. Ilford was the brand of choice for monochrome work usually FP4 for larger formats and HP5 for 35mm both developed in ID11. This background in the craft of photography certainly helped in the transition to digital and he now spends more time in front of the computer then he ever did in the darkroom! he now uses Nikon systems exclusively, keeping an old D100 for Infra Red images, which have always been an interest to him. Perhaps this is driven by the abstraction from reality aspect of Bobs work which is so prevalent in his work. Having an eye for an image that would tell a story Bob has a key guideline that he rigorously applies, no manipulation of the subject is allowed. Bob strongly believes in taking the subject ‘as-is’ no posing of subjects, moving items etc. He greatly admires photographers who are expert in that technique, however, for himself it is capturing the essential essence of the subject matter that is vital to him. Bob has had his work published in the national press in England covering news events as well as having several shows in both the UK and in New York and has recently decided to move onto the web. He is a keen member of the Blackstone Valley Art Association and Arts Worcester and as well as photography he is also a keen sculptor and abstract painter as shown in the art gallery.

I started my professional photographic journey as a videographer at CNN and then at C-SPAN in the early days of the cable industry. At C-SPAN I was one of 7 employees, located in a small make shift studio located in a business building in Alexandria, VA just outside of the District of Columbia. It was at C-SPAN where I created video wallpaper. The purpose, It acted as fill between programming. We would run continuous clips of slowly moving video that I shot panning left to right or right to left and up and down and pulling slowly away (my small contribution to cinema verite on cable) from various Federal buildings and other notable architecture found throughout our Nation's Capital. These clips lasted from between :10 to :30 minutes and I edited them in away that would include many, many of our national treasures. I picked up on film in 1967 when I bought an inexpensive plastic 35mm/125speed film camera for a Cub Scout activity. Fast Forward in 1984 my purchase through JC Penny's of a Canon AE-1 35mm and I never looked back and now I have a Canon Rebel Xti EOS. Very simple stuff actually. I take into consideration the following when I shoot. (1) time of day (2) composition (3) weather conditions (4) Physical position And another consideration now that digital is for many the go to medium...take a lot of shots. However, It's still an organic learning experience as I am discovering the beauty of our planet almost daily through my travels in Northern California and beyond. Every Schnauzer Deserves a Loving Home. Schnauzer Love Rescue is an organization of volunteers, most of whom have full time jobs in addition to doing rescue work. They dedicate a great amount of personal time to ensure these rescues get the second chance they deserve. All dogs coming into our rescue program receive a full veterinary examination, are brought up to date on their shots, checked for worms, and are spayed or neutered before we release them to their forever homes. This is done at considerable expense to our organization. The adoption fees often don't cover all the vetting fees, especially when there are additional procedures required to restore the dog's health. Our rescues are always fostered for a period of time to determine their temperament. This helps us ensure we find a suitable home that will result in a forever match. This takes time. We also do a Home Visit with the adopting family to ensure a good match, and to ensure the safety of our pets in their new homes. All this takes time. Many rescues come to us from difficult situations that involve rehabilitating them to one degree or another. Some have housebreaking or marking issues, others need socialization and ALL of them need a period of adaptation after going to their forever homes. If you are expecting a perfect dog when adopting a rescue, you're at the wrong place. All these rescues can become wonderful companions. It depends on how much time YOU are willing to spend with them. Obedience or agility classes are always a great way to bond with your new companion. Many rescues going to a new home will have accidents initially. Having been uprooted at least twice, they will be nervous, - the same way you would be if someone placed you in a totally strange environment. It's a time of transition for them and it is often frightening, even though you may have much love to offer. They will need some understanding and time to adjust to their new homes. If all you want is to feel good because you rescued a Schnauzer, please don't waste the precious time our volunteers spend finding good homes for these wonderful rescues.

As cool as they are, drones are a dime a dozen these days. If you're a drone manufacturer and you want your gizmos to stand out, they better have something special: compactness, a superb camera, affordability or, y'know, rockets. Drones from the Chinese company DJI seem to have all of the above, except the rockets, which is why they've been dominating the market for some time now. Their Mavic Pro is somewhat of a standard-setter for consumer drones, the Phantom 4 Pro challenges other companies to up their specifications game, and the Spark satisfies the needs of mobile users who want a portable drone. So, what is it that the DJI Mavic Air hopes to accomplish that the company hasn't already done? Look past the small size and you'll see impressive innards We've got plenty of praise for DJI drones here, but they're not all perfect. The Phantom Pro brings power, but at a prohibitive cost for some – this refers to both the price, which can go up to $1800, and the massive size. In contrast, the Spark's tradeoff in size and relative cheapness leaves some users wanting more range, flight time and a better camera. This left the Mavic Pro as the company's flagship model for all-purpose use. The Mavic Air clearly wants to overtake this spot, and it has everything needed to do so. The 6.2 x 2.7 x 2.7 inch size and 0.95 lb weight place it right between the Spark and the Mavic Pro. While the latter was already seen as a reasonably-sized drone, the Mavic Air is going to give users who need portability exactly that. Although the Spark gave up a lot of its recording power to shrink (with only a 2.1 MP, 30-FPS 1080p camera), the DJI Mavic Air makes no such sacrifices. Its ability to capture at 8.8 megapixels and 4K resolution places it right beside the Mavic Pro and the Phantom 4 Pro, and the camera's 1080p frame rate actually beats the Mavic Pro's by a significant margin (120 to 96 FPS). This brings a somewhat awkward question: where does the newest model leave the Mavic Pro? Yes, it has a range of 7000 meters compared to the Mavic Air's 4000, and much has been said about this. But how far are hobbyists really flying these drones? The truth is that most users won't find the extra range noteworthy, which doesn't make it much of a competition considering the Mavic Air's superior specs and $200 lower price. How does the DJI Mavic Air fare against its rivals? As noted, the Mavic Air has already beaten one of its major competitors, the Mavic Pro. This leaves the Parrot Bebop 2 and the Xiro Xplorer V as the drone's main competition outside the company. Bebop 2 and its kits remain a popular alternative to DJI and have no doubt taken their market share. One of the main perks is the price, which starts at $550 for the Bebop 2 versus $800 for the Mavic Air. However, many Parrot users find themselves needing to upgrade their drone with the FPV pack, which brings the cost to the Mavic Air's range. Once there, it's really not much of a contest – the Bebop 2's 1080p recording limitation makes the Mavic Air worth the extra money in almost every scenario, and its inability to avoid obstacles doesn't help its case. The Xiro Xplorer V's strongest point is its design. The thing looks straight out of a black budget project whereas most drones look clunky and tame by comparison. Although its camera options are similar to the Parrot Bebop 2 and therefore significantly lesser than the Mavic Air's, its looks and the $300 entry price tag will continue to make this an extremely popular acquisition for novice drone enthusiasts, albeit not with more serious users. The reviewers are in agreement: this is the drone to look out for Early reviews of the drone, including showcases of its tremendous camera, are pretty much what you would expect. TrustedReviews thinks this drone has what it takes to topple last year's best-buy, the DJI Mavic Pro, while Techradar calls it "the pocketable 4K drone you want in 2018". We'll go ahead and disagree with TrustedReviews a bit. To us, the Mavic Air has already toppled the Mavic Pro and then some – with a significant upgrade in every stat besides range, which it still has plenty of, the Mavic Air has everything it takes to leave DJI's current top pick in the previous year. It seems likely that this drone is going to widen the already-considerable gap between DJI and other manufacturers. The price remains less-than-ideal for some who are just looking to fly a drone around, but anyone wanting features will be ready to shell out $800 and not look back for a while. The only thing we can imagine raining down on the Mavic Air's parade would be debilitating faults with the drone, the likes of which we aren't used to from DJI, or an over-reliance on upgrades that would bring its price closer to $1000. That's the worst-case scenario, and we aren't willing to bet on it. If you still aren't as hyped for the Mavic Air as we are, check out these aerial shots that show just what a 4K camera can do compared to a 1080p one, which seemed awesome just a few years back.

My passion...is to capture expressions and emotion in my photographs. I have been fascinated with photography since I was in grade school. I was always the one with the camera, getting great action and group shots. I never went anywhere without my camera and, everyone has ALWAYS depended on me to capture the memories of every event. Through the years, I have long considered photography as just simply an enthusiastic hobby, however, it became more intensified upon the birth of my child. Now, I never put the camera down. It wasn't until 8 years ago when the company I worked for, for 22 years, sold. Everyone told me that this was the time for me to pursue my dreams, and now I am. I started shooting weddings and quickly found out how much I love taking candids and getting people's expressions. Most of the time, I don't want my subjects to pose. I love to capture them in the moment. I have recently been shooting local sport tournaments and can I tell you how awesome action photography is for me. I was recently told by a mom that it is amazing how I capture the personality of a child as if I've photgraphed them for years, when in fact I just meet them. That is why I love to do what I do. Thank you for visiting my website! My love for photography began as a child. I remember going to the National Museum of the Air Force when I was 9 or 10 years old. I spent every penny I had buying and shooting all the rolls of 110 film I could get my hands on. It took me weeks to save up enough to get them all developed (aahhh digital). I found the pictures again a few years ago. The pictures were nothing spectacular, but I'll never forget the rush I got taking them. Jump ahead to high school where I took my first photography class and learned about exposure, composure, and developing. After that I got away from serious photography until just a few years back. My father got a fancy new camera, a Nikon D90, and I had to have one too. I tried out a lot of lower grade equipment before learning the reasons why the pro grade stuff cost soooo much. There really is a huge difference in what you can do with it. But then I hit another wall. Even though my gear was good, I couldn't get all the shots I was trying for. My dad was having similar issues and we discovered a local photography school, Light Photographic Workshops. And the rest, as they say, is history. Not really, but I did learn how to fully use my camera and have continued to strive to be a better photographer ever since. I am fortunate to live in an area filled with great places to shoot, and to have friends and family that are so supportive of my work.
