Primary duties include:• Leading 2-3 weekly training seasons per season, with some training during the winter.• Game Day management at games and tournaments • Hosting preseason & post season teem meetings with Parents & Players.• Conducting, leading, supporting age group tryouts.• Attending internal staff training and meetings, and pursuing continuing education opportunities• Annual commitment: Tryouts during May of 2017 through mid-June 2018 (approximately 12 months). Ideal candidate qualities include:• Previous coaching experience at the Competitive Youth level.• Previous playing experience (club, college, professional)• Coaching certification (Preferred USSF but including US Youth Soccer, NSCAA & other organizations)• Strong communication skills• Responsible, professional, and punctual• Coaching philosophy and style consistent with club environment. Through the Rainbow Room, HCCP works to bring hope to many children who have been dealt an uncertain and unfortunate hand in life. The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center available to CPS caseworkers to help them meet the critical needs of abused and neglected children. Located within the county’s Family Protective Services building in Athens, the Rainbow Room is a brightly decorated and inviting room stocked with all new items such as school supplies, clothing, shoes, diapers, toys, car seats, beds, bedding, personal hygiene items…whatever a child might need entering foster or relative care. In the case that CPS is trying to stabilize an existing family so that the child might remain in their care, we also provide the family, as determined by caseworkers, food, bedding and household cleaning items so that children can remain safe in their homes while CPS works with the family.
