A Warm Welcome to our Chipping Norton PROBUS Website Founded in 1977, our PROBUS club is a friendly, active group of retired and semi-retired business and professional men who have regular lunchtime meetings with a wide range of interesting speakers - all arranged to help fellowship amongst our members. Our monthly meetings, held at 11.00 am on the third Tuesday in each month, also aim to provide opportunities for our members to keep in touch and to organise a number of events and visits to places of interest each year - extending the offer of fellowship. Members come from a wide range of backgrounds from Science and Education to Sales, Law and Accountancy as well as many other fields. Our well supported special event lunches provide the opportunity for members to invite their wives and partners to join the good fellowship that PROBUS membership offers. Located on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus stands the new UMBC Event Center. The 6,000 seat arena is home to the Retriever Men’s and Women’s basketball teams and women’s volleyball. Managed by Oak View Group Facilities, the multi-purpose venue opened January of 2018 and hosts a variety of events such as commencement, concerts, family shows, trade shows, consumer shows, featured speakers, and banquets.
