When there is too much to do, or think, or finish (and there often is), the world won't stop to wait for you. It won't let you rest. It won't let you focus. Only you can do that. Many of the most successful people in the world maintain demanding schedules, juggle responsibilities and discover their peak performance by expertly managing their mornings. How I manage my mornings makes all the difference. Build Your Life Raft with Routine A morning routine accomplishes three key things: It frees you from decision-making, which preserves willpower. It gives you time to think, plan and act, before the day makes you react. It builds mindful awareness of what's within your control and what isn't. Here's my typical routine: 5:00 - Out of bed, make coffee, slowly wake up 5:30 - 5 minute meditation using the Simple Habit app 5:35 - Thinking, reading and/or writing (they all go hand-in-hand) 6:30 - Review and plan my day, check email 6:40 - More writing/creating 7:15 - Help my daughter get off to school 7:45 - A few chores around the house 8:00 - Check the news online 8:15 - Head to the gym or shower and get to the office, or finish up morning work While the pieces might move around from one day to the next, the effect is the same: I take the time to put my priorities first and to get my head on straight. Whatever comes next is a whole lot easier to handle.

Title Achievements Led by Brent Burnett, Synergy's Newest Pearl Executive Last November, as the holiday season began, Synergy Team Member Brent Burnett was passionately working with his team to reach new business milestones. Now, not only has he achieved the rank of Pearl Executive, he has set up a foundation for even greater success with Synergy in the future. An avid runner, Brent compares his business building to the preparation and strategy that a distance runner would use during a race: "You have to learn how to balance yourself during a race," said Burnett. "You have to know when to push and when to dial it back. Last year , we saw the opportunity to reach and decided to make that push." Hitting Pearl is definitely a commendable achievement for Brent, but not one that he could have accomplished alone. Joining him in the journey for greatness are two other Team Members who made pushes of their own to reach new titles before the end of the year. NEW TEAM DIRECTORS William Ackley and Richard Carl, friends of Brent and members of his organization, were taught what would be required in order for their businesses to grow. They met with Brent, set goals, and organized a plan to each achieve the Team Director title in conjunction with Brent's advancement. It was teamwork at its finest. As they worked to see their plans come to fruition, William and Richard committed to create positive habits that could be duplicated. "They would always go out and do the simple things that I told them to do," said Burnett. "Then we would talk again and they would bring up questions, and we would build from there." Today, Brent Burnett leads his team as a Pearl Executive, and with new milestones in sight. He has two very dedicated and passionate Team Directors by his side, looking to achieve further success in their own businesses. The future is looking bright, but all three are aware that building on success takes dedication and patience. "Obviously, these sort of accolades don't happen overnight," said Burnett. "It's something that you have to be willing to build and work toward." POSITIVITY FOR A GROWING TEAM Brent has a goal to maintain a positive attitude as he builds. He believes this is how a successful team will be built. He hopes to create a climate in which people will want to work hard. "We want to help people find the right culture where they can be successful," said Brent. "We've been really impressed by our leaders around the world and we hope to create an environment that will encourage people to discover their true potential." As Brent continues to build a positive team in 2018, we congratulate him, along with William Ackley and Richard Carl, for their accomplishments so far. As they continue to generate momentum, we look forward to seeing how they will grow this year and beyond!

A renewal agreement extends this setup to 2018 and suggests the partnership is bearing fruit for both companies. 21vianet-to-operate-azure-cloud-in-china-into-2018 Microsoft first partnered with 21Vianet a few years ago in a bid to extend its cloud in China via a local partner. China represents a huge growth market for Chinese and foreign cloud providers, but navigating the market isn’t simple for an outsider. In November 2012, Microsoft, 21Vianet, and the Shanghai Municipal Government announced a strategic partnership agreement in which Microsoft licensed the technology know-how and rights to operate and provide Office 365 and Windows Azure services in China to 21Vianet. “Since 2012, teams from Microsoft and 21Vianet have worked diligently and seamlessly in the preparation, public preview, and commercial launch of both Windows Azure and Office 365 services in China,” said Josh Chen, CEO of 21Vianet, in a press release. Several Chinese tech giants, including software developer Kingsoft, invested $300 million in 21Vianet last year. The investment is going toward expanding its data center footprint in a bid to capture the burgeoning Chinese cloud and data center services market. Some of those data centers have been built specifically in support of Microsoft. In 2013, it added a 5,000-cabinet facility in support of Azure. “We remain firmly committed to the Chinese cloud market, and we believe this extended partnership with 21Vianet will serve as a strong foundation for both companies to further contribute to the development of the cloud computing ecosystem throughout China,” said Ralph Haupter, vice president and CEO for Microsoft Greater China, in a press release. There are several regulatory compliance needs to get within what many dub as “The Great Firewall of China.” Officially called the Golden Shield Project, it is essentially an internet surveillance and censorship system that makes it hard to serve Chinese customers from outside. The market remains a separate entity in need of being served from within, and the typical path for a foreign company has been to partner with a local service provider. Amazon Web Services launched a Chinese region through ChinaNetCenter. Apple stores local iCloud data in China Telecom data centers. Several new data center builds have been announced in China recently, including by NTT and CenturyLink, which has launched a data center in Shanghai. Big recent news was a Distributed Denial of Service attack originating in China hit the popular open source code repository GitHub. The DDos attack against GitHub followed an attack on Greatfire.org, following a Wall Street Journal article about anti-censorship groups using U.S. cloud computing services to circumvent blocking by Chinese authorities. Amazon Web Services introduced new dense-storage instances for its EC2 cloud meant for processing multi-terabyte data sets. The new D2 instances provide additional compute power and memory compared to HS1 instances as well as ability to sustain high rates of sequential disk I/O for access to extremely large data sets (or, if you’re reading this 10 years from now, small data sets). People are getting comfortable with storing and processing larger amounts of data in the cloud, so instance sizes are growing in tow to handle more heavy-duty jobs. new-aws-instances-chew-through-very-large-data-sets The instances are based on Intel’s Haswell processors running at base clock frequency of 2.4 GHz. Each virtual CPU (vCPU) is a hardware hyperthread on an Intel Xeon E5-2676 v3 chip. The largest of the new instances are capable of providing up to 3,500 MB/second read and 3,100 MB/second write performance with Linux. new-aws-instances-chew-through-very-large-data-sets1 The largest instance also comes with bonus features of NUMA support and CPU power management. NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access) allows specifying an affinity between an application and a processor that will result in use of memory that is “closer” to the processor and therefore more rapidly accessed. It’s possible to launch multiple D2 instances in a placement group (logical grouping of instances in single availability zone, meant for applications in need of low network latency, high network throughput or both). The D2 instances provide the best disk performance when you use a Linux kernel that supports Persistent Grants – an extension to the Xen block ring protocol that significantly improves disk throughput and scalability. Storage on D2 is local, so it’s advised to build redundancy in storage architecture and use a fault-tolerant file system. Each instance is EBS-optimized by default. “EBS” stands for “Elastic Block Storage.” Enhanced networking is available on D2, joining availability on C3, C4, and I2 families. Enabling enhanced networking results in higher performance (packets per second), lower latency, and lower jitter. “With Enhanced Networking and extremely high sequential high I/O rates, these instances will chew through your Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) data warehouse, log processing, and MapReduce jobs,” AWS chief evangelist Jeff Barr wrote in a blog post. “They will also make great hosts for your network file systems and data warehouses.”Hybrid Cloud’s Need for Speed By admin on 21/08/2015 52SHARESSHARE TWEET SHARE SHARE 0 COMMENTS As more businesses are moving data to the cloud and outside of corporate walls, and more data is being generated via the Internet of Things (IoT), it’s turning into a hybrid world. Not only does data need to be put into context that crosses company and geographical boundaries, making for a distributed infrastructure, but the window of time when the magic must happen is also shrinking. hybrid-clouds-need-for-speed Data center provider Interxion, IBM, and big data platform Qubole are three very different providers and architects of the hybrid world. All are betting that agility and real-time needs will be a key driver in the transformation to hybrid. While cost savings is part of the hybrid story (optimizing what workloads go where based on cost), the bigger picture involves optimizing the user experience (maximizing what workloads go where based on provided value). Whether it be an employee with a back-office application, a developer in need of compute resources on the fly, or a consumer on a shopping spree, it all needs to happen in or near real time. Interxion views itself as building the railroad station hubs of the internet, having built data center infrastructure across Europe in all major metropolitan areas. It acts as an aggregation point for clouds, networks, and content. As a result, a new data center edge is arising, according to Ian McVey, director for enterprise and systems integrators for Interxion. As data and consumption become more distributed, data centers need to be closer to the end user and connections must be secure. IBM sees hybrid as the foundation for smarter apps, tapping richer data sets. Cloud means certain data is exposable. Its role is helping to connect these data clouds and putting that data in proper context with the right tools, as well as leveraging it in new contexts in order to build smarter applications. “Everything is becoming hybrid,Do you like donate your car,Donate car in USA,Car donating,Donate Car to Charity California,How to Donating my Car,Donate Car for Tax Credit,Donate Cars in MA,Donate Your Car Sacramento,How to Donate A Car in California,Donate your new car,Donate Your Car for Kids,What is donatng Car,Donate car,Donate Car for elders,Donating Car for mothers

christopher-sheppard.com ONE MAN'S EXPERIENCE OF HEALING FROM CANCER - In November 1999 I was diagnosed - out of the blue - with advanced rectal cancer. I am now healthy again. The tumour has completely disappeared, without needing the surgery that the doctors had urged upon me. Many people have asked me what I did to make this possible. To help record some of the things I have learned about sickness and health, I asked a friend to interview me. I hope that what follows may be of some help if you, or someone close to you, is facing a health crisis.

Fangs and Fur Fantasy Book Review | Where Reading Fantasy is a Family Affair
      http://portalrankings.com/info/fangsandfurbooks.com
Title: Fate of the Tearling Author: Erika Johansen Publisher: Harper Date Published: November 29, 2016 Where I got the book: ARC won in a Goodreads giveaway *this is no way affects my review* Where You Can Get Book: AMAZON Synopsis from Goodreads: In less than a year, Kelsea Glynn has grown from an awkward teenager into a powerful monarch and a visionary leader. And as she has come into her own as the Queen of the Tearling, she has transformed her realm. But in her quest to end corruption and restore justice, she has made many enemies - chief among them the evil and feared Red Queen, who ordered the armies of Mortmesne to march against the Tear and crush them. To protect her people from such a devastating invasion, Kelsea did the unthinkable - naming the Mace, the trusted head of her personal guards, Regent in her place, she surrendered herself and her magical sapphires to her enemy. But the Mace will not rest until he and his men rescue their sovereign from her prison in Mortmesne. So, the endgame has begun and the fate of Queen Kelsea - and the Tearling itself - will be revealed... With The Fate of the Tearling, Erika Johansen draws her unforgettable story full of magic and adventure to a thrilling close. I really enjoyed the first two books of The Queen of the Tearling Trilogy and the way they married the feel of an epic fantasy novel with dystopian elements. I love Kelsea Raleigh--the way she's portrayed and her believable growth from altruistic young woman to someone who's willing to put aside their morals to do what needs to be done. There's a progressively dark feeling to these novels. I still love the setting. We remain in the world Johansen built, but its beginnings are fully fleshed out in The Fate of the Tearling. We get to see how their society used to be run and where everything went wrong. Seeing more of Mortmesne was particularly interesting. I have always enjoyed Johansen's ability to give you something you have a preconceived notion of and then tear it out from under you. She frequently makes you think of things in a new way, and the Mortmesne plot lines are a good example of that. I wasn't a fan of The Fate of the Tearling's storyline, however.. I liked where the story was heading when the second book ended but found myself frequently upset about how she navigated the plot in this book. I thought the Red Queen's redemption arc was completely off the wall. It felt so out of character for the villain we had come to know. I felt that they broke her, in a sense. She came off weak. I enjoyed learning more about Row. I liked that he was given a face and backstory, but the confrontation with him felt highly unsatisfying. I felt the narrative had difficulty carrying the multiple points of view from so many different characters. I found myself missing the rapport and witty banter between Kelsea and her guards. It took away a big part of what I enjoyed in previous books. I also felt there was too much of the dystopian element in this book. I liked getting answers and seeing a more complete history of the world, but I had such a hard time keeping track of everything that it was hard to enjoy the story. There were just too many varying points of view, and it made the narrative feel inconsistent. Another thing I disliked were the new developments in Kelsea and Pen's relationship. Although I don't require romance to enjoy a story, it's a big draw for me. I had liked where their relationship was heading, and the events of this book were frustrating with regards to them. The Fate of the Tearling left me wishing she had written a prequel instead, so I could have fully immersed myself in the characters and storylines I had come to love throughout the series. I detested the ending. It felt as though she took everything she had spent three entire books building and blew it all apart. I like that she had the courage to go in that direction but the narrative turn seemed weak. It felt like a cop out and I found myself a little confused, wondering what precisely had happened. I wish the series had ended with a little more hope. Perhaps that isn't realistic, but I don't really read fiction for realism. All in all, I did enjoy the book and it was largely well written. I just wish that the narrative had been more consistent, that more page time could have been dedicated to the storylines and characters of the present, and that the ending had been more satisfying.
