mHub is Malawi`s first technology hub. This is an incubator for technology startups with a special focus on building young technology entrepreneurs through training, skills development and mentorship. The hub is based on a concept of enhancing social economic development of a country through ICT and youth development as has been the case in other sub-Saharan countries like Zambia and Rwanda. Hub activities include, building a community of technology enthusiasts; engagement with the corporate world and industry on needs that require technology solutions, software development, mentoring, incubating technology startups, hosting developer groups, hackathons and startup camps. The hub intends to be a sustainable initiative by generating revenue through software development, consultancy and research.

Mzinda is a citizen engagement platform where citizens engange with elected counsellors, local city council, ESCOM and Waterboard on service delivery. It is a place where debate on topical issues is stimulated and citizens can send in service delivery reports. Mzinda is a project embedded within the MobiSAM project at Rhodes University in South Africa.
